All Wellington Catholic schools directed to shift to remote learning effective Wed. April 7

In the evening of April 5, the Directors of Education of school boards within the jurisdiction of Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) were informed that the WDGPH Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Nicola Mercer, will be issuing an order tomorrow directing school boards in WDGPH’s jurisdiction to switch to remote only learning effective Wednesday, April 7.

All Wellington Catholic schools will close to in-person learning and will shift to remote learning effective Wednesday April 7 for the remainder of the week.

On Tuesday, April 6, we will be deploying technology and students will take home necessary items for learning. Wednesday, April 7, all schools will be closed for students and staff will begin to pivot to remote learning. Further information will be provided tomorrow.

The April Spring Break scheduled from April 12-16 will continue as planned.

The tentative return to in-person learning is Monday, April 19, following the mid-April break. This return date will be re-evaluated by WDGPH closer to that date and is subject to change.

We will continue to provide updates as we receive it.
